The Hornet has two powertrain options for customers to consider. The base GT powertrain has a turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 engine that produces 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The available plug-in hybrid R/T powertrain pairs a turbocharged 1.3-liter I4 engine with an electric motor to produce 288 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. Hornet R/T models can also drive up to 33 miles using only electric power.
